Fed up with Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

Fed up with Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

A massive 1 in 5 Australians suffer the symptoms of IBS at some time of their lives, with women more commonly affected than men. Abdominal pain, constipation and /or diarrhea, bloating and nausea can be a nuisance, or can have profoundly limiting effects on the lifestyle of the IBS sufferer.
Many people try restricting different foods to try and improve symptoms; try dietary supplements and medications.
The symptoms are exacerbated by stress and anxiety. And, of course there is stress and anxiety when your digestive system is working in strange ways, when it was taken for granted that it would continue to do its job without problems. No wonder we feel “fed up”, bloated and confused.
Now, get a fresh approach to bowel health and comfort with clinical hypnotherapy: mind-body skills and techniques for dealing with the stress and anxiety of IBS. Empower your mind, your digestive system and your well-being with clinical hypnosis, Safe, pleasant and effective.

The Holiday Effect

The Holiday Effect

What is it about a holiday that works miracles on couples who have been going through IVF, sometimes for years, trying to conceive?
As soon as they stop “trying”, stress levels drop, the body and mind relax and the blocks to fertility are released. Levels of the stress hormone cortisol drop when you physically take a break, allowing the hormonal system to re-balance and the reproductive system to function smoothly.
The diagnosis of unexplained fertility is stressful in itself, without the invasive procedures of assisted reproductive technology.
Create the holiday effect wherever you are, by learning and using mind/body skills to reduce stress, balance emotions, and enhance the chances of conception.
Please share this blog with anyone you know that is on a fertility journey: I would be keen to start a Fertility Mind/Body Support Group, with mindfulness meditation and other relaxing and empowering techniques.
Let me know, and I wish you well.

Is social media helping new Mums?

Is social media helping new Mums?

Looking back 30 years to becoming a new Mum, with all the joys and nappies, fractured nights and first smiles, it was fun but lonely. The isolation of being at home was total, and not at all the Sesame Street parade of human contact I had envisioned. Going out each day to groups and friends was great, and it was nice when their Dad came home from work; but now, it seems this isolation is broken down, and Mums are constantly in contact with friends and family.
This supportive contact must surely lessen the problem of peri-natal depression, what are your thoughts?
